School Part Re-opening - government announcement

Dear parent or carer

I'm sorry to have not emailed you earlier this week. Our messaging system was down so I'm hoping this message gets to you.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister said that school might be able to re-open for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from 1st June. The government sent schools more details on Monday night. These details also included Nursery.

I know that lots of you will be anxious about sending your child back to school to mix with others after such a long time staying safe in your own homes. School staff are also anxious about this. The government has given us clear guidelines on what we need to be setting up and we would never do anything that would be a risk to our children. They have also said that if parents are not happy to send their child back to school, there will be no problem with that right up to the summer holiday.

Families with a Nursery, Reception, Year 1 or Year 6 child will receive a link to a quick survey later today. Please take 60 seconds to click into that - your views will really help me to make plans for welcoming your child back to school.
