Happy retirement to Mrs Pykett
from Mr Gray

After 25 years as a midday supervisor, Mrs Pykett has decided to retire! From supporting children with special needs in the 1990s through to getting Year 4 through a covid-safe lunch brake in 2021, Mrs Pykett has seen it all! School Council were delighted to be able to present her with flowers, gifts and cards this week. We thank her for her work over the years and wish her a very long and happy retirement!

Harvest Food Bank Donations – thanks
from Mrs Walker

Mrs Walker and School Council children took a massive 132kg of your food donations to the Meadows Food Bank today. Thanks to Mr Spencer for loading up his car and to Charlie’s Mum for keeping us safe on the way!

The children had a tour of the store, and heard about how we can always help by checking what is needed on the Meadows Food Bank Facebook page. Right now, the food bank really needs washing up liquid – so if you have a spare bottle, you know where to send it!

from Lorraine Whistler

The EdenRed vouchers for families entitled to means-tested free school meals have now all been processed and sent to parents. We are really pleased to be able process these on behalf of the city council so that our families get what they need even when we are closed.

Year 5 & 6 Naoroji (98%) for the week 11th October
Year 2 Nightingale (98%) for the week 11th October
Year 5 Bowden Class (95%) for the week 18th October
