Dear families,

I hope you have enjoyed a lovely summer and are looking forward to the final week before school reopens!

There's a few things to know ready for the start of the new term at 8.45 on Monday 6th September.

1- Uniform and PE Kit

We are not strict with uniform in June or July, but children should be in correct uniform and PE kits for the new school year. Click here for the info sheet. Don't forget to write names in each item so that we can return things to their owners.

2 - Sleep

It's time to start getting bedtimes sorted so that the first week back isn't a shock. Children need between 11.5 hours sleep (aged 4) and 9.5 hours sleep (aged 11) in order to control their own behaviour properly in school.

3 - Covid-19 Rules

Most things at school will be "back to normal" but there will still be some government rules that we have to follow. Click here for the info sheet with full details. The main things to know:

- If your child has a high temperature, a new / continuous cough or a loss of taste / smell, they will not be allowed in school until they have a negative PCR test result.

- If your child has been a close contact or lives with someone who has covid, they should get a negative PCR test result before returning to school. As long as your child is covid-negative, there is no problem with them coming to school.

Enjoy the last week of the holiday. School staff start work on Tuesday 31st August so the school office will be open if you have any questions etc.

Thanks

Mr Gray
