School plans for w/c June 1st still in place

Dear all,

The school has planned to re-open to more pupils including Year 1 from next week. This is still the plan for Victoria Primary School.

Nottingham City Council has today told its schools not to open next week. As an academy, we are not required to follow City Council directives. Councillor Khan has praised all schools for how they have prepared for re-opening. She said "“This is as much about the right conditions being in place – for example the effective introduction of the ‘Test and Trace’ system that would give additional reassurance on how best to manage the spread of the virus."

We believe that the steps we have taken reduce the risk of catching coronavirus in school as much as is possible. Attendance at school will not be being monitored in the same way this term and online learning through Seesaw is still in place for any families who are not comfortable to return their child to school at this time.
