Better break times
As covid restrictions have lifted a little, children are now able to spend time with friends from different classes at break times. Our break times are still staggered which means that there are never more than three classes able to mix at once, but being out in the open means this is a much lower risk than when we are indoors where we stick to our class or year group bubbles.
Dinner Money
As we get towards the end of the year, please remember to make dinner money payments up-front and don’t let bills mount up. If you are struggling to pay, please speak to Lorraine (Family Support Worker) who can offer support and advice. Catch her in school or get in touch on 07375 557517 (call, text or WhatsApp).
Coming up – Tuesday 22nd June – 20k run for charity
This week you should have received information for our 20k event. As we cannot get together for our usual sports day, this year children will be trying to run 20k (in total – not individually!) to raise money for two charities very close to our school’s heart.
If you’d like to get involved with sponsoring the run, we are raising money for Cancer Research UK (Race for Life) in honour of our very own office lady Claire Wright who has been though her own cancer battle this year (and did the Race for Life herself too – incredible!) AND the Nottingham Refugee Forum as a thank you for everything that they do to support a number of families in our community.
We are sorry that covid rules mean that families can’t come and watch, but we will make sure our social media is up to date on the day!
Coming up – Friday 25th June – School Closed for staff training (INSET Day)
Coming up – July – Year 5 Bikeability
Safe Cycling is on the timetable for Year 5 next month. Make sure you get your letters back to secure your place!
Coming up – Wednesday 7th & Thursday 8th July – Transition Days
Apologies for the confusion caused in a previous newsletter. The correct days for Year 6 to visit their new schools (and for everyone else to visit their new teachers ahead of September) are Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th July.
