School Newsletter 5th June 2020

I hope all of our school families and their friends are safe and well. Thank you to everyone who continues to look after their child’s learning whether this is on seesaw, using paper tasks or by coming to school.

Year 1, Keyworker and Others Re-opening from 3rd June

Thank you to families who have returned to school this week. You have paid careful attention to the new school rules and this has kept everyone safe in school. This has meant that when we opened to more children things went very smoothly.

If your Year 1 child hasn’t returned to school yet but you might want them to do so next week or later, that is fine. Each “Bubble Class” has a register which will stay open for the rest of the Summer Term so children can come as and when families are ready without having to tell us first.

Year 6

If all continues to go well at the start of next week, we will be welcoming back children in Year 6 part-time from June 15th. I will email families with Year 6 children with more information on Wednesday 10th in the morning.

The usual end of primary events for Year 6 children won’t be able to go ahead this year due to social distancing and other health rules we have to keep in place. Instead, we are planning an evening event for September time, obviously depending on how strict the public health rules are by then.

Nursery / Reception / Years 2, 3, 4 and 5

There are no plans for these year groups to return to school this month. As we can only fit 8 children per room with social distancing rules, we don’t have enough space for more children. If the government health rules change as lockdown is lifted, we will be able to react and return more children before the summer holidays.

Paper Copies of Work

Families who have asked for paper copies of work can collect these on TUESDAY between 1000 and 1100 from the car park gate off Ainsworth Drive.

Please remember to keep 2 meters safe distance from staff and other families.

Coronavirus Safety Rules for School

Attached to this email are the new safety rules for our school.
