Chickenpox Outbreak

Younger children have suffered an outbreak of the common childhood illness “Chickenpox” over the last two weeks. Chickenpox starts with itchy red spots anywhere on the body. Over a week or so the spots spread, fill with fluid and burst as blisters. You don’t normally need to see a doctor – the pharmacist at the Chemist can help without an appointment. Children must not come into school if they have chickenpox as it spreads very easily. They can return to school once the blisters have all scabbed over.
