Family Support Worker (Whole School - 01/06/2017)

Hi. My name is Lorraine Whistler I am the new Family Support Assistant at Victoria Primary. My role is to provide support, advice and information to the families within our school. I can help you with any worries that you may have about your child’s education, behaviour and wellbeing. As a Mum, I am also here as someone to talk about family life to if you need it. Advice and support is confidential although concerns relating to safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the schools Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. Support for families includes: Providing information and signposting to other services in the local area. Supporting you with a range of external services such as housing, benefits and Social Care Attending school meetings and other agency meetings. Advice and support in promoting positive behaviour at home. Promoting good attendance and punctuality. How to get in touch: I am normally in school from 8am and can be available in the afternoons by arrangement. You do not have to go to the school office to speak to me.
